Debra Nyquist, MD
|
Dr. Nyquist is a board certified family physician with advanced clinical training in emergency medicine. A native of St. Louis Park, MN, she completed medical school at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. Following her residency in family practice at the University of North Dakota, Dr. Nyquist joined Grand Itasca in 1998. Her personal interests include quilting, knitting and cross country skiing.

Paul Palecek, MD |
Dr. Paul Palecek is board
certified in family medicine. Dr. Palecek attended the University of
Minnesota Medical School. After completing his residency in Family
Medicine at Offutt Air Base and the University of Nebraska, Dr.
Palecek was a staff physician at the Grand Forks Air Base in Grand
Forks, ND until he joined Grand Itasca in August of 2009. In
addition to Emergency Medicine, Dr. Palecek has special interests in
Allergy/Immunology and Geriatrics.

Terri Radovich, MD |
Dr. Radovich is a
board-certified family physician. Raised in Hibbing, MN, Dr. Radovich attended the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. Following her residency at the Duluth Family Practice Residency Program, Dr. Radovich joined Grand Itasca in 1987.

Darla VanHeerde, MD
|
Dr. VanHeerde completed
her residency in Family Medicine at the Duluth Family Practice
Center and was board certified in Family Medicine in 1988. VanHeerde
also has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics through
the American Board of Family Practice.
In the course of her career, Dr. VanHeerde has received two
Fellowships. In 1995, she achieved the designation of Fellow through
the American Academy of Family Physicians and in 1999, she was
awarded a Bush Medical Fellowship to study functional medicine and
clinical nutrition.

Thomas Viren, MD
|
Dr. Viren is board certified
in family medicine. A native of Grand Marais, MN, Dr. Viren attended the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. Following his residency at Marquette General Family Practice in Marquette, MI, Dr. Viren joined Grand Itasca in 2001.
