Acute Rehabilitation UnitThe Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) is a modern and comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation facility that serves patients recovering from significant injuries, illnesses, neurological disease or surgery. Our full-service ARU is the only such program within a 60-mile radius of Grand Rapids. A hallmark of our new facility is our set of 14 generously-sized private rooms that include in-room sleeping accommodations for family members wishing to stay overnight. Additional family facilities include a lounge and kitchenette so family members feel welcome and comfortable. We are proud of the great care provided in the ARU. In fact, when compared to other acute rehabilitation facilities, Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital is ranked in the top 2% nationwide for outcomes by the Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation.
