Acute Rehabilitation UnitThe Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) is a modern and comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation facility that serves patients recovering from significant injuries, illnesses, neurological disease or surgery. Our full-service ARU is the only such program within a 60-mile radius of Grand Rapids. A hallmark of our new facility is our set of 14 generously-sized private rooms that include in-room sleeping accommodations for family members wishing to stay overnight. Additional family facilities include a lounge and kitchenette so family members feel welcome and comfortable. We are proud of the great care provided in the ARU. * Functional Independence Measurement (FIM) efficiency scores for persons that have been discharged. A higher FIM score means better overall patient outcome. . 4-01-05 to 3.01-06.
