Grand Itasca’s Close to Home Campaign Receives $300,000 Grant from Iron Range Resource & Rehabilitation

Grand Rapids, MN – Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital recently received a $300,000 grant for the Close to Home capital campaign for cancer and infusion care from Iron Range Resource & Rehabilitation. In late-2016, the agency committed to the $300,000 with the stipulation that Grand Itasca Foundation and the Close to Home Steering Committee raise $1.7 million of their $2 million fundraising goal. The $300,000 gift would then close out the $2 million Close to Home campaign goal.

When the $1.7 million mark was reached, Grand Itasca's President, Mike Youso, and Grand Itasca Foundation Director, Kelly Kirwin, met with the Executive Director of Development, Steve Peterson, and Commissioner Mark Phillips both from Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation to receive the gift.

The Close to Home capital campaign is an effort to support the renovation at Grand Itasca converting hospital space in to oncology clinical space and a new, 12 bay infusion center.
