Grand Itasca Introduces Smoking Cessation Program

Grand Rapids, MN – Are you ready to quit smoking? Beginning on Monday, January 25th, Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital will be leading a new program to help people quit smoking. The American Lung Association Freedom from Smoking program is a seven-week group program that is lead by an American Lung Association trained instructor. This program has been the leading adult smoking cessation program for over 30 years.

 

Grand Rapids, MN – Are you ready to quit smoking? Beginning on Monday, January 25th, Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital will be leading a new program to help people quit smoking. The American Lung Association Freedom from Smoking program is a seven-week group program that is lead by an American Lung Association trained instructor. This program has been the leading adult smoking cessation program for over 30 years.

Participants of this program receive personalized attention in a small-group setting and help creating a customized quit plan. The goal of the program is for participants to quit smoking during week four and then continue to receive support in the following three weeks to maintain their non-smoking status.

The Freedom from Smoking program begins on Monday, January 25, 2016, 5:30-7:00pm and meets for seven consecutive weeks at the Itasca County Family YMCA. The cost to join this program is $75 and includes all program materials and a light dinner at the meeting each week. Childcare is also available during the class.
