Grand Rapids, MN – Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital is happy to announce that four new primary care providers have joined the medical staff. The new providers are Cristina Castillo-Nelson, MD, Natalie Castle, PA, Stephanie Harnack, NP and Aislinn Rogalla, DO. “We are so excited to have these providers join our organization. They are incredibly talented and have already been so well received by our patients and our community,” says Jean MacDonell, CEO.

Dr. Cristina Castillo-Nelson is a Family Medicine Physician. She attended University of California School of Medicine for medical school. She completed her residency with the Duluth Family Medicine Residency Program and went on to do an obstetrics fellowship at Essentia Health. While she is originally from Oxnard, Calif, her husband, PJ Nelson, a Family Medicine Physician Assistant, who will be starting at Grand Itasca in a couple months, is originally from Grand Rapids. “As we were looking at places to practice after my fellowship, Grand Rapids quickly rose to the top. We love the outdoor opportunities available in this area and it is so nice to be close to family,” says Castillo-Nelson. Dr. Castillo-Nelson is especially interested in women’s health, including advanced obstetrics and contraception, as well as pediatrics.

Natalie Castle is a Family Medicine Physician Assistant. She attended the College of St. Scholastica for her master’s degree. She is originally from Bovey, Minn. and was a 2012 graduate of Greenway High School. “I am so happy to be working back where I’m from. My mom has worked at Grand Itasca for more than 30 years and I did my student rotations here. Everyone has been so welcoming and encouraging from the start,” says Castle. Natalie’s professional interests include preventive medicine, behavioral health and women’s health.

Stephanie Harnack is an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner. She is sharing a practice with Internal Medicine Physician, Dr. Stacy Holl, meaning patients will have the option to see either of them for their care. Stephanie attended Walden University for her master’s degree and went on to Maryville University for a post-masters adult-gerontology nurse practitioner program. “After many years of working in emergency and intensive care settings, I decided to go back to school to be a nurse practitioner and work in primary care where I can assist in management of chronic disease and work towards prevention of some of the conditions I used to see in the critical care world,” says Harnack. In addition to preventive medicine, Stephanie is interested in dermatology and foot care.

Dr. Aislinn Rogalla is a Family Medicine Physician. She attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and completed her family medicine residency at East Tennessee State University. She is originally from Pine City, Minn. “After being away from family for a long time for school and residency, it was important to me to return to Minnesota and be near my family. Grand Rapids was a good fit because I love the community and all the amenities it offers,” says Rogalla. Dr. Rogalla is especially interested in women’s health and pediatrics.
