EnglishAbout Me & My Care Philosophy
I entered the practice of medicine due to an interest in how things worked and a desire to help. I was the person who took care of the wounded wild animals in the neighborhood. My father did taxidermy as a hobby and my brother and I watched to see how things were connected and how to put the body back together. We both became family physicians when there were no other physicians in our family. I chose the specialty of family medicine as there is not an area of medicine that does not interest me. My work has taken me to Wisconsin, Washington, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Alaska. I have generally worked and lived in small towns and enjoy getting to know my patients and the community. I truly enjoy hospital medicine and have interests in emergency medicine and child abuse. My priority is taking care of patients and helping them understand how to feel better.
Although I grew up in a small town, my adult life has been spent in the country. My partner and I breed, raise and show quarter horses. I do some riding although starting late in life I am not a pro. I also love dogs and have cats, donkeys, goats, chickens and even two little pigs. I love to be outside in all seasons. Travel is wonderful and I have many places I want to see. I love to sing and play music although I have not done much of that recently. I have two adult sons. Noah is in construction and Levi loves theater and drama.
I am excited to be starting the next phase of my career at Grand Itasca and look forward to the next few years serving this community until my retirement.
