I decided to practice medicine when I was half way through college. I found enjoyment in the challenge of software engineering, but an internship showed me I craved personal interaction. Around the same time my grandfather fell ill with cancer. Through visiting him and seeing the interaction and care from his doctors and nurses, I knew this would be the right path for me.
I believe that the best pathways to health come living a healthy life: staying active every day, eating more fruits and vegetables, and keeping a balanced perspective. If I can augment this with medication or other interventions, we can strive toward your best health.
I enjoy helping people with complicated, long-term health problems. I am board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. I love the challenge that this diversity brings to my practice.
My wife and I love the lakes and woods of Northern Minnesota. We have two newfoundland dogs, a cat, and three horses. Some of my favorite things to do are: planting pine trees, working on my trails, doing projects out in my shop, kayaking, swimming, bike riding, golf, and video games.
