About Me & My Care Philosophy

I grew up in southern Minnesota in my hometown of Northfield, MN, often visiting family living in Albert Lea, Mankato, and Rochester, but just as often traveling to northern Minnesota to go camping, fishing, canoeing, hiking, and swimming. My parents started their early careers in northern Minnesota before settling closer to family in the Northfield area. Despite a little bit of a drive, the majority of our vacations growing up centered around taking my two brothers, my sister, and me up north to go camping in the state parks and the Superior National Forest.

During this time growing up in Minnesota and traveling to the North Woods, I came to want to help others through the practice of medicine, and took a special interest in the nervous system and treating those with pain. I pursued a master’s degree in stem cell biology focused on neuro-regenerative research and completed a neuroradiology fellowship with special interest in neuro-interventional pain procedures. I never imagined I’d be lucky enough to have the opportunity to use that knowledge and those skills to help with the care of the hardworking people of northern Minnesota. So I couldn’t be happier to have this chance to work with the Radiological Associates of Duluth, Ltd, and their regional partnerships.

I spend as much time as I can finding opportunities to spend with my wife, daughter, and greyhound. Together we enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and boating. We also like playing board games, reading together and traveling around Minnesota.
